Straighten Up

Does this sound familiar: slumping in your chair, shoulders hunched, back tilted to one side, lower back slouching, and head inexorably drawn close your computer monitor?
Not only does poor posture make you look old, run-down, and tired, but can actually make you feel that way long-term. Good news – work doesn’t have to be hard on your body like this.
In contrast, picture this: you’re sitting up straight. Your shoulders are relaxed. You’re holding your head high, ears above your shoulders. Your lower back is curved naturally forward because your hips are back. You can breathe deeply, the world is lighter, your tasks become five times easier. You may even smile!
Remember, good posture not only looks better, it feels better. Do the right thing for your spine and body: straighten up.
